Seraph of the End Plot:

The show is set in a fictional universe and follows a youngster called Yuuichiro Amane. Yuuichirou is shown to have a tragic past, and loses his parents at the age of eight. While he struggles to adjust to life in the Hyakuya Orphanage, another major tragedy befalls not just him, but the entire human race. Suddenly, a pandemic grips the world and kills everyone over the age of 13. With children all grieving the loss of their loved ones, vampires, who were lying dormant underground, rise up to the surface and enslaves humanity, becoming the rulers of the Earth.

Four years after the tragedy, vampires are still the rulers of the Earth, but by now, Yuuichirou and his fellow orphans have gotten used to their new lives as a race subservient to the vampires. However, Yuuichirou is far from one who submits to his fate, and he dreams of the day he will kill all vampires and reclaim Earth for humanity. This often puts him at odds with his fellow orphan, Mikaela Hyakuya, who thinks it’s far wiser to use ingenuity and cunning to survive and out-maneuver the vampires. Having garnered favor among high-ranking vampires, Mikaela gains inside knowledge and uses this to engineer a plan to escape from the underground and return to the surface. However, while attempting to escape, he and his fellow orphans are intercepted by a vampire officer called Ferid Bathory, who proceeds to massacre the orphans.

Yuuichirou, however, manages to escape the slaughter somehow, and finds his way back to the surface. On the surface, he is found by the Moon Demon Company of the Imperial Demon Army, a militant organization of humans who seek to destroy the vampires once and for all and free humanity from enslavement. Years pass, and Yuuichirou, who is part of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, remains determined to take revenge on the vampires to avenge the deaths of his loved ones.

Later in the show, he gets reunited with Mikaela, who he had long presumed to be dead. Yet, this union is hardly a pleasant one, and to his horror, Yuuichirou finds out that Mikaela has been turned into a vampire. Determined to protect Mikaela as well as his human friends, he vows to get stronger and wreak death and havoc on the vampires responsible for the suffering in the world. Meanwhile, Yuuichirou gets word of an impending attack on the Imperial Demon Army, and gets chosen to be part of an elite squad who is selected to intercept the vampire attack. With the attack fast approaching, Yuuichirou and his comrades have to train hard and fast and gain mastery over their weapons to defeat the vampires and kill the vampire nobles to free humanity once and for all.
