Simon Arianne Biles, a Belizean-American artistic gymnastics, was born on 14th March 1997 in Columbus Ohio, USA. She was homeschooled and graduated in 2015. She tried gymnastics when she was 6 years old and soon enrolled in an optional training program at Bannon’s Gymnastics, where she began coaching with Aimee Boorman. In 2011, Biles began her career at the 2011 American Classic in Houston. She placed third all-around, winning first place on vault and balance beam, fourth on floor exercise and eighth on uneven bars. The same year she competed in 2011 U.S. Classic at Chicago, Illinois. There she was placed twentieth all-around, fifth on balance beam and floor exercise. The next year in American Classic held at Huntsville Texas, she placed first and ended up all-around winning first on vault, second on floor exercise, third on balance beam and fourth on uneven bars. She competed at 2012 U.S Classic in Chicago where she finished first all-around. The same year she competed in USA Gymnastics National Championships at St. Louis, Missouri where she placed third all-around, first on vault, sixth on uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise.

Biles became a senior in 2013 and her debut competition was at 2013 American Cup which was a FIG World Cup event. She finished second in the event. In the same year, she competed in many events like 2013 City of Jesolo Trophy in Jesolo where she took the titles of all-around, Vault, balance beam, and floor exercise along with contributing a gold medal to United States’ team. The same year she was crowned with being the national all-around Champion at the 2013 USA Gymnastics National Championships she was named to Senior National Team. Biles was invited to the qualifying camp of 2013 World Artistic Gymnastics Championship in Texas. Biles finished first in all-around, second to the vault final, sixth to the uneven bars final, fifth to balance beam, and first to the floor final in 2013 World Artistic Gymnastics Championship in Antwerp, Belgium.

In 2014, she won all-around in U.S Classic in Chicago and national all-around Champion in 2014 USA Gymnastics National Championships and was once again selected to the Senior National Team. In 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championship in Nanning, China she qualified in first place leading United States to its second consecutive world team Championship.

In 2015, USA Gymnastics announced that Biles would be on the team for 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. In the qualification round, along with the team, she individually qualified to all-around, vault, balance beam, and floor exercise. In gymnastics team event, Biles won her first Olympic gold medal. She then won gold on individual all-around in the event. She won four gold medals in the event setting a record of winning the most gold medal in women’s gymnastics at a singles game.

In 2017, Biles participated in Dancing with the Stars, season 24. She was paired with Sasha Farber, a professional dancer but the team eliminated, finishing in the fourth position.
