Freeform’s fantasy thriller ‘Siren’ follows an enigmatic young mermaid, Ryn Fisher, as she deals with the obstacles that hinder her mission of finding her missing sister, who is trapped in the clutches of the military in the small fishing town of Bristol Cove. The show, created by Eric Wald and Dean White, received a thumbs up from critics and the audiences upon its release in March 2018.

The mystery series has received acclaim for its intriguing premise, gore-drenched action sequences, creepy soundtrack, Eline Powell’s power-packed performance and for its portrayal of the empathetic side of mermaids. After the conclusion of the third season, fans are waiting for an update on the renewal of ‘Siren’ season 4. Here’s everything you need to know.

Siren Season 4 Release Date

‘Siren’ season 3 premiered on April 2, 2020, on Freeform and concluded its run May 28, 2020, after airing ten hour-long episodes.

‘Siren’ is one of the top-rated shows on Freeform. The third season recorded a 13% dip in viewership, as compared to the second season. However, the season managed to keep the audiences hooked to its fascinating twists and thrilling visuals despite the limited budget. Considering the above factors, we feel that there is a high chance that the network might renew the show for another season. Whenever that happens, ‘Siren’ season 4 is expected to release sometime in 2021, on Freeform.

Siren Season 4 Cast: Who is in it?

The show features Elin Powell as the mermaid on a mission, Ryn Fisher. Alex Roe plays the role of marine biologist Ben, while Fola Evans-Akingbola appears as Ben’s girlfriend, Maddie. Ryn, Ben, and Maddie soon enter into a polyamorous relationship. Rena Owen essays the character of merfolk descendant, Helen Hawkins.

The cast also includes Tiffany Lonsdale as Tia/Vodnyy Zver, Ian Verdun as Xander McClure, Curtis Lum as Xander’s best pal Calvin, Kiomi Pyke as Meredith, Aylya Marzolf as Katrina, Sedale Threatt Jr. as Levi, Millan Tesfazgi as Cami, Natalee Linez as Nicole Martinez, among many others. Expect a few, almost all the main cast members from the third season might come back for another round. Season 4 can also add some fresh faces to the cast.

Siren Season 4 Plot: What can it be About?

In season 3, Ben suffers the repercussions of letting Ian die to save his friends and loved ones from a dangerous fate. Ryn discovers Ben’s dirty little secret, but they get distracted by the arrival of a despotic mermaid, Tia, in Bristol Cove. Throughout the season, Ryn strives to save her surrogate mermaid daughter, Hope, from Tia, who aims to wreak havoc in the lives of the humans and wipe out their existence from the face of the earth. Unfortunately, Hunter kidnaps Hope to escape Tia’s wrath.

In the finale, Ryn and Ben launch an underwater war against Tia and her mermaid tribes to save humanity and Hope. As Xander’s condition deteriorates, Maddie and Robb pull out all stops to find a cure. Helen and the hybrids work together to calm the residents and put things back in order. Ted gets the shock of his life after learning about his son Ben’s superhuman powers.

Season 4 might pick up from the ending of the third season. After the all-out war, the humans and merpeople might join hands to repair the damage done to their land by the sea monster, Tia, and her tribe. Ryn might train her daughter, Hope, to save herself from future challenges. Ben might help his father, Ted, in understanding his superhuman powers and abilities. In the fourth season, we can expect the trio to deal with another threat.
