‘Supernanny’, based on the eponymous British reality television series, is about overwhelmed parents struggling to take care of their difficult kids. The issues addressed in the show cover problems related to behavior, mealtime, and potty training, among others. Featured professional nanny, Jo Frost, guides the desperate parents in tackling their troubles. Using her keen observational prowess, Frost dives deep into the issues and outlines new rules of discipline. Of course, this does not involve any strict punishment.
‘Supernanny’ has proven to be a hit show among parents, who take tips from its episodes and implement the ideas to regain control over their households. Therefore, it is not surprising that it has spawned eight seasons to date. Do you wish to know more about its upcoming edition? Let’s get on with it.
Supernanny Season 9 Release Date:
‘Supernanny’ season 8 premiered on January 1, 2020, on Lifetime. It ended with its 18th episode on September 22, 2020. The Lifetime version is, in fact, a revival of the original ABC show that aired from January 17, 2005, to March 18, 2011. Once the 2020 edition dropped on tv screens, it managed to receive the same amount of love from fans — as compared to the previous iterations. Therefore, we are hopeful that it will receive a renewal soon. If given a go-ahead in the next couple of months, we can expect ‘Supernanny’ season 9 to premiere sometime in 2021.
Supernanny Season 9 Host
The only constant member in ‘Supernanny’ is its host, Jo Frost, who has appeared in every rendition of the show. The British television personality, nanny, and author has also headlined ‘Supernanny UK’. The parenting expert holds over 30 years of experience in helping parents navigate their problems of raising kids. She handles troublesome kids and even guides couples when their relationships are being put to the test. Since Frost is the central figure in each episode, she will make a comeback in season 9 as well.
What Can Supernanny Season 9 be About?
Each episode starts off with Supernanny Jo Frost reaching a house after checking out the family’s submission video. Before meeting the fam in person, Frost has a brief idea about their issues with raising kids. Once she enters the home, she observes the dynamics between the members while taking mental notes to assess the situation. Eventually, she devises a plan of action. Her plans usually include a set schedule, customized for the family’s needs; new house rules; and discipline (the naughty chair/step timeout).
Once Frost’s job is done, she leaves the family to allow them to implement her actions on their own. Finally, she notes their progress and gives her analysis. If required, she gives further guidance. Season 9 will follow the same format and follow Frost as she helps more parents in desperate need of some guidance.
