Supernatural Season 15: Premiere Date, Cast, Trailer, Spoilers & News

Supernatural is a dark fantasy series that follows two brothers, Sam and Dean as they hunt demons, ghosts, monsters, and other supernatural beings. The series is as dark as a series can get and sucks you in its darkness. You can never have enough of this show and it is worth binging again and again. It is the longest running live-action fantasy TV series and is still performing strongly in terms of ratings. Eric Kripke, creator of the show had a tough time pitching it and it took ten years for the show to be picked up by a network. It premiered on The WB on September 13, 2005.

Supernatural Season 14 Cast: Who is in it?

Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles will reprise their roles as brothers Sam Winchester and Dean Winchester, as both have expressed interest on separate occasions to be a part of it if season 15 happens. Although Lucifer is dead on the show, Mark Pellegrino could be back as Lucifer as the deaths on the show are not always permanent. Other cast members probably returning for the upcoming season include Richard Speiget Jr. as Gabriel and Jim Beaver as Bobby Singer. Other stars, including Samantha Smith as Mary Winchester, will return in their respective roles as well if another 20-episode season is to get a foothold. However, any new entrants, and how much the rest of the minor characters would be involved is difficult to predict just yet.

Supernatural Season 14 Plot: What is it about?

Season 13 ended at a cliffhanger and the fourteenth season picked up from there. Season 14 of Supernatural saw itself centred around the entity from The Empty, which consumed the angels and sought Jack’s soul. We saw Lucifer apparently die but there are speculations that the devil is still very much alive and ready for another battle with the Winchesters. We also see Michael possessing Dean once again and his friends rushing to his help despite the consequences. So far, it is known that CW hypes up the grand ends to their shows, and season 14 was never advertised as the final season, so season 15 is definitely a go. As for its plot, it is only up to theorycrafting and speculation at this point, as various different scenarios could take place. The Natural Order itself could manifest as the big bad with an even greater escalation in the scheme of things compared to season 14, or the show might even be done with the Angel Michael storyline since we already have had so many reasons attributed to it. Whatever happens, we only know that we will get to see more of the dynamics between Sam, Dean, and Castiel, and a lot of monster-hunting!

Supernatural Season 15 Release Date: When will it premiere?

In April, the series was renewed for a 20-episode fourteenth season. It premiered on The CW on October 11, 2018.

Supernatural Season 14 saw a shortening of the season structure from a 23-episode format to 20 episodes, which was done primarily in consideration of the star actors who could exercise greater flexibility with their working schedules – as each episode takes, on average, over a week of working days to produce. Hopefully, this would mean that all the stars will be returning, where applicable, to the respective roles in the upcoming season when it eventually begins production. There has been no official news on the release schedule of season 15 yet, and so, despite the tremendous hype surrounding it, the official air dates for season 15 are still TBD.
