‘The Masked Singer‘ is not just about vocal performances, but also about the kind of energy performers bring to the stage. While T-Rex might have some work to do in the former department, the sprightly performer is definitely not lacking anything in the latter.
Season 3 has given us some incredible powerhouses of energy, but perhaps nobody can match T-Rex. She started off with “So What” by P!nk, and her second performance is a rendition of “Push It” by Salt-n-Pepa. She’s blown us away with her energy both times. Naturally, you might be curious to know who’s behind the mask. We have got you covered with the clues and guesses. Moreover, we have attached the first clue package below, to jog your memory. Check it out to see if anything new becomes evident to you.
Clues about T-Rex:
T-Rex starts the new clue package from where the previous one leaves off. She speaks of the situation after the asteroid hit the island, where she was among like-minded people. T-Rex says “After the impact, I look around to see only singles and doubles of us were left”.
She further says “My heart was beating like a bumblebee.” T-rex concludes her package, saying that this is her one shot, and she double dares others to stop her. After her performance, she says that if one dreams big, their face can be everywhere, and they will never go extinct unless a meteor hits. Check out the clue package below.
Guesses about T-Rex:
Among all the performers this time, there’s nobody we’ve been surer about. Last week, we stated that JoJo Siwa is likely to be behind the mask. This week, we double down on our deduction. The package shows a pink globe and a birthday hat, which might refer to her D.R.E.A.M. global tour, and a special she filmed for Nickelodeon before her 16th birthday.
Her desire to diversify also refers to Siwa, who constantly tries to stay relevant as a YouTube star. Last week’s clues have been even more indicative of Siwa being behind the mask. Moreover, fans seem to have placed Siwa’s voice and believe that it matches T-Rex’s. Check out a tweet below, asserting the same.
If anyone here on twitter watches the masked singer I hope that you guys realize that 1000000% the T-Rex is @itsjojosiwa. You may not be able to tell from the clue package but you can tell by her voice when she sang so what by @Pink. That it is Jojo Siwa. Hope everyone agrees.

Some fans have taken the ‘double dare’ clue in T-Rex’s package to guess that the performer might be Liza Koshy, who is known for hosting ‘Double Dare’. They have also interpreted the ‘doubles’ clue, after the asteroid hits, to tie-in with Koshy’s role as the host. However, the rest of the clue package does not align with this theory.
Twitteratis seem to believe otherwise, asserting that the Vine star is the same size, and also sounds the same (we’re not hearing it!). You can check out a tweet below, where a fan is sure they’ve understood who’s behind the mask.

As is the case with ‘The Masked Singer’, the clues are always enigmatic enough to invite multiple guesses. One fan has guessed that it might be Awkwafina. The ‘Crazy Rich Asians‘ star is building a pretty impressive Hollywood career. She’s entered the spotlight, even more, thanks to Lulu Wang’s ‘The Farewell‘. Naturally, she might be looking to branch out, in the film industry, which could tie in with T-Rex’s wish to diversify.
Moreover, the actress’ determination to persevere, might be referred to, when T-Rex speaks about not going extinct. That said, it is unlikely that Awkwafina will be seen on ‘The Masked Singer’ stage. You can check out the fan’s tweet, who believes T-Rex is Awkwafina.

Most fans seem to agree that JoJo is behind the mask, and quite a few of them are also sure that she won’t make it past the Group C finals. Thus, we might be seeing T-Rex getting unmasked in the upcoming episode. Either way, with additional performances, and clue packages, we can edge closer to deducing her identity with certainty.
