How did Terry Crews earn his money and wealth?
Terry Crews aka Terry Alan Crews is a former professional football player, actor, activist and artist. He was born in Flint, Michigan on July 30, 1968. He received a scholarship from Chrysler to study at the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Interlochen, Michigan. He followed it up by studying at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan on an Art Excellence scholarship and a full-ride athletic scholarship for football. While studying at WMU, Crews won the Mid-American Conference Championship in 1988 along with All-Conference honors.
Crews played football under the NFL for the Los Angeles Rams, the Washington Redskins, the San Diego Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles from 1991 to 1997. While playing for the NFL he played as a linebacker and defensive end. He has played a total of 32 NFL matches in his career.
Post-retirement, Crews decided to pursue a career in acting. He moved to Los Angeles and co-produced as well as co-wrote “Young Boys Incorporated”, an independent feature film. He was cast as T-Money in the game show “Battle Dome” (1999). He has also acted in “Friday After Next” (2002) along with Ice Cube, “White Chicks” (2004, “Idiocracy” (2006) and as Hale Caesar in “The Expendables Series” (2010). He has also acted in sitcoms such as “Everybody Hates Chris”, “Are We There Yet? (2010-2013) and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” (2013 to present). He has also hosted the game show “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” from 2014 to 2015 and in the Netflix original show “Ultimate Beastmaster” (2017). His latest movies are “Deadpool 2” (2018) and “Sorry to Bother You” (2018).
Crews starred in his own reality series “The Family Crews” (2010) on BET. Apart from films and reality TV shows, Crews has also appeared in commercials and music videos such as the Old Spice TV commercials. Crews along with fashion designer Nana Boateng co-founded a design and furniture company “Amen&Amen”. He is also into portraits and illustrations. At one point of time, Crews was the courtroom sketch artist in Flint, Michigan which he considers as his first job.
