The fourth season’s premiere proceeds to show the Democrat challenge to the Trump presidency in the aftermath of the party securing a majority in the House of Representatives. It details the events that had taken place since then, including Trump’s declaration of a national emergency to secure funding for his US-Mexico border wall.

It also covers the huge subject of Democratic presidential candidates as they ran their campaigns around the country. Additional episodes shed light on the controversial Ukraine scandal that led to the historic impeachment inquiry into Trump’s conduct.

Since the conclusion of season 4, we know of several other developments in Washington, D.C. — events that have defined an era. There is the impeachment ruckus, followed by the first caucus and primary voting when Democrats decided who would finally face Trump during the 2020 US Presidential Elections.
