ABC’s sitcom ‘The Goldbergs’ depicts the life of its creator, Adam F. Goldberg, in his formative years, in the 1980s. Created as a homage to the decade of cassette tapes, mom jeans, and over-the-top action stars, the series celebrates the loving but dysfunctional Goldberg family. As a coming-of-age story, it’s the perfect successor of ‘The Wonder Years’, which is a quintessential story about boyhood and growing up. ‘The Goldbergs’ first premiered on September 24, 2013, and has since become one of the highly-rated series on ABC. The Goldbergs Season 8 Plot: What Can it be About?
In the finale of ‘The Goldbergs’ season 7, Adam is all ready to attend prom with Brea but fears that she will leave him for the prom king. He reaches out to his mother for help, but she ends up shutting down the prom altogether. Desperate, Adam somehow manages to get the prom back on track. But when he speaks about his fears to Brea, she breaks up with him, hurt by his presumption that she would leave him.
Seeing his son in a terrible mood, Murray steps in and helps Adam in getting back with Brea. Elsewhere, George is told that his father has been admitted to a hospital following a heart attack. Erica, who is dating George, has problems relating to George’s feelings and tries to emulate her brother, who has been a great help for George’s family. George tells her that the most important thing is that she is there to support him and his family.
‘The Goldbergs’ season 8 premiere will celebrate the classic 1980 parody film ‘Airplane!’, starring Robert Hays and Julie Hagerty. The unaired episode from season 7, which will be aired in this season, is about a wedding, according to Wendi McLendon-Covey. Adam and Brea’s relationship and that of Erica and George might garner some focus. As always, the show is set to revolve around the shenanigans and daily misadventures of the Goldberg family.
