The Order Season 3

‘The Order’ is a horror drama series that follows Jack Morton, a student at Belgrave University, as he enters the world of magic after joining a secret society, intending to avenge the tragic demise of his mother. Jack finds himself in deep waters after he joins the rival group, and chaos ensues. Upon its premiere in 2019, the show was praised by the critics and audiences for its compelling narrative, which is surprisingly funny and thoroughly entertaining.

The Dennis Heaton creation also received six ‘Leo Award’ nominations. Netflix renewed the supernatural series in March 2019. After binge-watching the second season, fans must be wondering: Will there be a ‘The Order’ season 3? If yes, when will it release? Let’s find out!

The Order Season 3 Release Date

‘The Order’ season 2 premiered in its entirety on Netflix on June 18, 2020. It consists of 10 episodes with a runtime of 42–51 minutes each.

Thankfully for fans, season 2 fared better than the first season, especially for the mysterious subplots, twists, and characterization. With the fate of many characters up in the air, the inconclusive ending of season 2 lays the ground for a potential season 3. The show also boasts a strong fan-following, which increases its chances of renewal. If renewed, we expect ‘The Order’ season 3 to release sometime in 2021, on Netflix.

The Order Season 3 Cast: Who is in it?

Jake Manley leads the cast as Jack Morton, a college student whose life changes after he joins a secret magical organization and also its rival group. Sarah Grey essays the character of Jack’s love interest, Alyssa Drake. The returning cast can also include Kayla Heller as Selena Durov, Adam DiMarco as Randall Carpio, Louriza Tronco as Gabrielle Dupres, Devery Jacobs as Lilith Bathory, Katharine Isabelle as Vera Stone, Thomas Elms as Hamish Duke, and Anesha Bailey as Nicole, among others.

Except for a few, all the main cast members might reprise their roles in the third season. Season 3 might also feature some new additions in the main cast. Although the fate of Sarah Grey’s character remains unclear, she might return to reprise her role in the third season.

The Order Season 3 Plot: What can it be About?

Season 2 picks up from the ending of the first season. After having their memories wiped by the Order, the Knights strive to get them back again. They also map out a plan to exact revenge on their enemies but things go awry as they are forced to face ravenous magicians, deadly cults, and bloodthirsty demons. In the finale, Alyssa is marked as a terrorist because of Salvadore Grant. Midnight and Silverback enter into an all-out war to get Jack as the champion, and the latter takes the win.

With Jack in Silverback, Gabrielle is branded as the new champion of Midnight. She turns into a werewolf and probably kills Alyssa, making Vera lose her magic. Councilwoman Kepler is sacrificed by Randall to bring Lilith Bathory back from the demon realm. Randall succeeds in his mission but Lilith returns as a demon.

In season 3, we can expect to witness the aftermath of the finale of season 2. Although Alyssa seems dead, there is a high possibility that Jack will pull out all stops and bring her back. Or maybe she is alive and is just unconscious? As Vera has seemingly lost her magic, Jack and Alyssa (if she is alive) might have to work together to get it back for her. They might also have to deal with the wrath of The Order and Midnight. It will also showcase Jack and Alyssa dealing with the side-effects of using the most powerful incantation, The Vade Maecum. As Lilith is now a demon, she might have to choose between turning into a human again or being a demon forever.
