The Outsider Episode 8 Spoilers

We had been wondering about the timeline the last time around, and ‘The Outsider’ cleared it up with the conversation that Glory had with Howie. Even though it was mainly about the lawyer asking his client whom to sue for the damage done to her family, it also gave a nod towards the return of the bogeyman.

It’s been so long since the last time we saw him that we have forgotten what he looks like! As estimated by Holly, he takes 20-something days to complete the metamorphosis before finding another child to kill. Looks like that time frame has been covered and, in the next episode, we expect another killing. If not that, then, at least, an attempt at one.

This also brings Claude back in the spotlight. He had started out as a witness against Maitland, but the scratch involved him even further than he would have wanted to. Yunis Sablo had suspected that Claude might be the next Terry Maitland, going by the pattern laid down by Holly. Now, she has found the similarity between Claude and the sketch that Jeannie drew of the Outsider, based on the time that it paid a visit to her. It wasn’t too long ago, so El Cuco would have at least had the facial structure of Claude, if not all of his features.

With the near-death experience that she had, Holly has all the proof she needed to believe in the supernatural. Whether or not Ralph agrees doesn’t matter a bit. He is just in the way. She knows that Claude is next, so in the next episode, she will try to locate and protect him. But he is not the only one who needs protection. If El Cuco comes back, a child will die.

Will it be some other unsuspecting kid? Or has the Outsider already marked his next victim? He did pay a visit to Tamika’s new-born. Was it a warning to ward her off the investigation, or was it a sign of something more sinister?
