The central character of ‘The Peanut Butter Falcon’ is a 22-year-old boy called Zack. He suffers from Down syndrome and lives in a retirement home somewhere in North Carolina. Because he has always wanted to be a professional wrestler like The Salt Water Redneck, and will do anything to fulfill his dream.
It is during the course of this journey that Zack comes across two people who become his close friends. One among them is a fisherman called Tyler who is trying to escape the clutches of the law, and the other one is a social worker and Zack’s caretaker in the facility called Eleanor. Though at first, Eleanor wants to take Zack back to the facility, she is finally convinced by the other two to go along on their journey. These three friends come across several interesting people and learn about life in the process.
