Timothy Leroy Lincecum was born on  June 15, 1984, in Bellevue, Washington, to parents Chris Lincecum and Rebecca Asis. Tim is a 33-year-old an American professional baseball starting pitcher. His nicknamed as “Freak”, The Franchise”, “The Freaky Franchise”, and “Big Time Timmy Jim”,.He did his schooling from Liberty Senior High School in Renton, Washington, where he played baseball and won 2003 3A state championship title for his school. He then joined the University of Washington and as he was the best baseball player of the university he was honored with the 2006 Golden Spikes Award.

Chicago Cubs of the NL in the 48th round of the 2003 MLB draft selected him but he rejected and did not sign instead selected to attend his college. He was again selected and offered $7,00,000 signing bonus by the Cleveland Indians in the 42nd round, but he rejected this offer as well. The following year he was selected in the first round itself by San Francisco Giants and the offer was a whopping $2.025 million of signing bonus.

He accepted this and became the first player to be selected in first round. In 2006 he made his professional debut with the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes and later he was promoted to high Class- A San Jose Giants. He was a part of San Francisco Giants from 2007 to 2015.

He was seen on the Sports Illustrated’s cover. Lincecum was the second giant to be awarded the NL Cy Young Award on November 11, 2008. in the same year, the Baseball Writers’ Association of America voted him 23rd in the National League Most Valuable Player Award and was also announced as the NL Pitcher of the Month for June in the year 2008 and got the same title the next year as well. In 2009, the Baseball Writers’ Association of America voted him 18th  in the National League Most Valuable Player Award.in 2010, he played his First World Series championship and also got San Francisco its first baseball world championship in history.

In 2012, he signed $40.5 million deal with the San Francisco Giants, rejecting the five-year offer made to him for $100 million. In 2013, he got into a two-year contract $35 million that would end in 2015.in 2016, he signed$2.5 million contracts with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim for the duration of one year.
