Samuel Timothy McGraw is an American country singer who was born on May 1, 1967, in Delhi, Louisiana. McGraw learned to play guitar while he was in college and used to play to and sing for money. McGraw released his first single titled “What Room Was the Holiday In” in 1991 but it was unable to make its mark. His next four singles “Welcome to the Club”, “Memory Lane”, and “Two Steppin’ Mind” also failed to leave any mark.

McGraw’s fifth album “A Place in the Sun” was his most successful was one yet and debuted at the top on both the US country and pop album charts and also managed to sell over 251,000 copies of the album during its first week alone. McGraw’s first Greatest Hits album came out in 2000 and sold over 6 million copies and remained on top of the country albums charts for nine weeks. His next album “Set This Circus Down” was released the following year which continued the success of his previous albums and followed by the sixth album in 2002 called “Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors”.
Aside from music, McGraw has also had an interest in acting. In 1997 McGraw appeared on an episode of “The Jeff Foxworthy Show”. He appeared in a movie called “Friday Night Lights”. He played the lead role in the movie “Flicka” that was released in 2006. His other movie roles include “My Friend Flicka”, “The Kingdom”, “The Blind Side”, “Dirty Girl”, “Country Strong”, and “Tomorrowland”.
