How did Tina Fey earn her money and wealth?
Tina Fey was born on 18th May 1970 at Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, USA. Fey had an interest in comedy from his childhood. After school education Fey enrolled at the University of Virginia, where she studied play-writing and acting. She worked at YMCA after her graduation and took classes at Second City in night.
In 1997, while performing shows with The Second City, Fey was hired as a writer in NBC’s variety show Saturday Night Live (SNL). Her first sketch in the show, a Sally Jessy Raphael satire was performed by Chris Farley. She became the first female head writer of SNL in 1999 when McKay stepped down from the show. The following year Fey began performing in the sketches and she, along with Jimmy Fallon started anchoring in SNL’s Weekend Update segment. In 2001, for SNL’s 25th anniversary special episode, Fey and her team won Writer’s Guild of America Award. The very next year, they were awarded Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program in 2002 Emmy Awards. Later in the year she appeared in the feature film Martin &Orloff.
In 2003, Fey signed a contract with NBC Universal and Broadway Video according to which she had to develop a pilot show which also allowed her to continue as a head writer in SNL through 2004-2005 television season. The pilot, 30 Rock, directed by Adam Bernstein aired on October 2006. 30 Rock won many awards to Fey including Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, and Emmy Awards for Best Actress in comedy series. 30 Rock ended in 2013.
In 2004, Fey made her debut as writer and co-star of the teen comedy feature film Mean Girls. It was based on her high school life in Upper Darby High School. The movie was a box office hit, grossing over $129 million worldwide. In 2007, Fey casted in the animated comedy film Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theatres. Fey was seen in a romantic comedy film the year after that titled Baby Mama along with Amy Poehler. In 2010, Fey voiced in an animated film Megamind. The film was a commercial hit, grossing over $321 million worldwide.
In 2013, Fey starred in the romantic comedy drama Admission directed by Paul Weitz. The next year she starred in a comedy-drama This Is Where I Leave You. Fey, in 2015 created and produced the television comedy Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, along with Robert Carlock. It was originally produced for NBC but later sold to Netflix.
