Tony Romo, real name Antonio Ramiro Romo, was born on 21, April in San Diego, California to Ramiro Romo Jr. and Joan Romo. He spent most of his childhood days in Southern Wisconsin. Since his school days, Tony had an interest in sports. He was inspired by Brett Favre of the Green Bay Packers, whom he considered his idol. Tony went to Eastern Illinois University and began playing in its football team. His outstanding skills made him earn an All-American honorable mention, also an All-Ohio Valley Conference member and also the title of OVC Player of the Year. In 2002, Tony became the first ever player in his university to win the Walter Payton Award during his senior year.

Tony Romo is not only an American former Dallas Cowboys quarterback but is also a football television analyst. He was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the NFL team Dallas Cowboys. However, due to the 44-6 loss of the Cowboys against the Philadelphia Eagles in the final game, Tony earned a lot of criticism. But, he soon silenced all of his critics in the 2009 season by achieving a career-high 4483 yards, also leading his team to their first postseason win after 13 years.

During the 2010 season, Tony played in just six games due to a fracture. But soon, he made a comeback and played for the team in the next few seasons with incredible performances. His performance during the 2014 season can be regarded as his best career performance as he led the league with a 113.2 passer rating. Moreover, the Cowboys also won a division title for that season. However, because of injuries, Tony played in less number of games in the 2015 and 2016 seasons. He announced his retirement from the NFL in April 2017. Soon after his retirement, Tony was hired as a commentator for NFL television broadcast.
