How did Travis Pastrana earn his money and wealth?
Travis Alan Pastrana was born on 8th October 1983 in Annapolis, Maryland to parents Robert and Debby Pastrana. He is a competitor for American professional motorsports and also is a stunt performer. He did his education from the University of Maryland and while his studies he played as a quarterback from 1965 to 1968. While he was 13 years old he performed stunts during motor racing and these interests soon developed into a career for him. When he was 19- year old in June 2003, Pastrana crashed his Corvette in Davidsonville, Maryland and was seriously injured.
Pastrana has won various championships and X Games gold medals in events like supercross, motocross, freestyle motocross, and rally racing. He runs a show on MTV called Nitro circus. In 2002 he moved to the 250cc category but has never won any race in this category. He always competed with the brand Suzuki motorcycles and his rally cars always are with the number 199.In 2003, he started his rallying career. In 2006, at X games he won his first gold medal in the rally car competition for Subaru.
Since his father Robert Pastrana belonged to Puerto Rico, Travis represented Puerto Rico in an international competition as he was directly eligible in 2008 where he qualified for the finals but completed third in the final round.
In 2011, Pastrana entered the NASCAR competition and drove Toyota All-Star Showdown and finished sixth. Pastrana met with several injuries during his racing and stunt performances and also had to withdraw himself and give up from several races due to the injuries suffered by him. One such event was when he had to cancel the race at Indianapolis Raceway Park due to injuries caused by X games in July 2011.
His other activities involve him jumping off the plane without a parachute and joining a harnessed jumper midair to have a safe landing, featuring in a music video “spaceship” by Puddle of Mudd , his voice can be heard in the game Colin McRae: DiRT and he is featured as in DiRT 2 and X Games: The Movie. He is a co-author of the book The Big Jump: The Tao of Travis Pastrana published by ESPN books in 2007. In 2008, a documentary by ESPN named 199 Lives: The Travis Pastrana Story was filmed.
