Lisa was asked in an interview with Time about the key behind the success of Vanderpump Rules, to which she replied, “One, the casting. I knew, and I chose these people. I knew the stakes would be high because their friendships were real. It was an incestuous situation, and to be that honest—or dishonest, as the case may be, or honest about your dishonesty, is unusual. Take Jax: If he’s not in the middle of the situation, then he’s in the middle of the conversation talking about the situation. That’s who Jax Taylor is. He was like that before. This is a great season—it really is.”
Vanderpump Rules Plot: What Is It about?
Vanderpump Rules typically revolves around the trials and tribulations of owning and managing a grand restaurant in West Hollywood (SUR). The dramatic series focuses majorly on the employees and servers of SUR and began with four established crew members and Scheana Marie, a new server. It moves back and forth around the personal and professional lives of Lisa, and her employees Jax, Stassi, Kristen, and Tom, as new employees and servers keep getting added to their growing numbers. We see the likes of James, Brittany, Lala, Tom (Schwartz), Ariana become integral parts of the administration team at SUR.
Season 7 saw Lisa Vanderpump starting a new bar called TomTom with Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz. James creates tension between himself and Brittany when he insults her in an offensive rap. Scheana became newly single and was seen adjusting to the phase, while Stassi couldn’t be more thrilled in the “honeymoon phase” of her love life. Jax proposed to Brittany to prove he is a changed man.
It will be interesting to see what direction the lives of our over-the-top characters take.
