When it first premiered, ‘No Guns Life’ blew everyone away with its cyberpunk style and dystopian premise. However, with what followed, the anime was a bit of a let down because of incohesive plot points. Even so, the anime made up for all of its flaws in season 2 by adopting a more linear premise that did justice to its intriguing sci-fi action drama. Although I still wouldn’t say that ‘No Guns Life’ is any better than most dark anime out there, especially when it comes to its storyline.
But when it comes to its art and setting, it’s an entirely different story. Apart from a few CGI glitches here and there, ‘No Guns Life’ sports distinct character designs and heavily detailed backgrounds, all of which add a layer of uniqueness to its otherwise mediocre premise. With two seasons down, ‘No Guns Life’ has acquired a loyal fanbase of its own. If you happen to be a fan of the series, you must be wondering when its next season will come out. No Guns Life Season 3 Release Date: When Will it Premiere?
‘No Guns Life’ season 1 premiered on October 11, 2019, and with a total of 12 episodes, it finished airing on December 27, 2019. Despite receiving mixed, the first season did well commercially and was renewed for a second season. ‘No Guns Life’ Season 2 aired from July 10, 2020, to September 25, 2020, and during this span, it released 12 episodes.
When it comes to its third season, Madhouse Studio has made no official announcements yet. However, considering that both the seasons of ‘No Guns Life’ have only received average ratings so far, it seems less likely that the studio would renew it. In the past, only some of Madhouse’s creations have been continued despite the availability of source material content. ‘Death Note,’ too, which happens to be among the most popular creations of the studio, was never renewed for season 2, even though a few volumes of its manga were still left uncovered. So the fact that the studio released a second installment ‘No Guns Life’ is in itself quite surprising.
Compared to the original manga, the second season of ‘No Guns Life’ covers close to seven volumes. Since the manga has a total of 11 published volumes so far and is still in publication, the creators of the anime have enough content to create a single-cour season. However, its renewal status will ultimately depend on the streaming views it’ll garner over the years. If everything works out in its favor, we can expect ‘No Guns Life’ Season 3 to release sometime in 2022 or later. Till then, you can check out other similar action anime.
