Mayhem Entertainment’s ‘Rust Valley Restorers’ is a Canadian documentary series about a car restoration shop located in Tappen, British Columbia, which is colloquially known as the Rust Valley for being the home of hundreds upon hundreds of old and abandoned cars. Unique, honest, and full of heart, ‘Rust Valley Restorers’ has managed to enthrall its audience since it came out in 2018. The show was originally conceptualized as a web-based TVTropolis cartoon but was later turned into a cable-TV documentary series. It premiered on History Canada on December 6, 2018, and was streamed on Netflix for the first time on August 23, 2019. With the third season of the show just becoming available on Netflix, some of you are probably wondering when the next season is coming out. Well, we may have the answers for you.

Rust Valley Restorers Season 4 Release Date

‘Rust Valley Restorers’ season 3 premiered on Netflix on August 21, 2020, with six episodes. The first two seasons were longer, with eight and 12 episodes.

Over the years, ‘Rust Valley Restorers’ has built up a loyal fanbase, who eagerly wait for the release of every season. The good news for the fans is that there are already some speculations about a possible season 4. However, no official statement has been released about its renewal yet. If the production does start soon, ‘Rust Valley Restorers’ season 4 will likely be released in 2021.

Rust Valley Restorers Season 4 Cast

The show revolves around Michael “Mike” Hall, a 60-something hippie with an insatiable passion for cars, and his equally enthusiastic employees. Mike used to own a successful construction company. The money he made there, he mostly invested in his old cars. According to his estimation, he owns about two million dollars in rust. Season 1 opens with him setting up his restoration shop, Rust Bros Restorations.

Helping him in this venture is his son Connor. Unlike his father, Connor is more pragmatic and level-headed. This leads to minor clashes between father and son whenever Mike goes over budget on a project. Then there is Avery Shoaf, Mike’s best friend, lead mechanic, and the voice of reason every time Mike doesn’t want to sell a newly-restored car.

The crew also includes Greg Preece, the lead body man at the shop; Rick Hamerston, the chief welder; Cassidy Mceown, the auto body apprentice; and Sarah Ward, the manager. Mike’s neighbor and fellow car enthusiast Doug Melnick, salvager Big Donny, also known as the Great White Shark, and Mike’s business rival JF make sporadic appearances on the show.

The ending of the season 3 finale has a somber tone because of the passing of Mike’s mother, Berthe Hall. The episode is dedicated to her memory. All members of the main cast are likely to return in the next season.

What Is Rust Valley Restorers Season 4 about?

‘Rust Valley Restorers’ follows Mike and his employees’ efforts to restore classic cars and then sell them for profit. Season 3 shows Rust Bros Restorations finally breaking even, with Mike hoping that the next year will be even better. However, the season ends with Avery putting up the sign for his own restoration business outside his house, called the Wildman Restorations.

Throughout the third season and even before that, Avery is shown planning to venture out on his own. He has been with Mike since the beginning, balancing out his long-time friend’s tendency for taking the business more like a passion project. While he says that this will improve their friendship, as they won’t bicker over the shop any longer, this is bound to have some long-term effects.
