Directed by SNL alumnus Osmany Rodriguez, ‘Vampires vs. the Bronx’ tells the story of three friends, Miguel, Luis, and Bobby, who discover that their neighborhood is being invaded by vampires in the guise of gentrification and development and must do everything they can to protect what they love and cherish. The film is a delightful blend of absurdity and social conscience and explores various complex social issues through the youthful exuberance of its protagonists. ‘Vampires vs. the Bronx’ is one of the most prominent films released by Netflix in the weeks leading up to Halloween 2020. If you are wondering whether there will be a sequel to it, here is everything we know.

Vampires vs. the Bronx Sequel Release Date: When Will It Premiere?

‘Vampires vs. the Bronx’ premiered on October 2, 2020, on Netflix. The movie has just been released, so there is no official news yet about a sequel. However, Netflix has a stellar track record of investing in projects that deal with young-adult adventures. ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘The Babysitter’ franchise are great examples of this. The movie is already receiving positive reviews from the critics, so it’s safe to presume that the Netflix executives will want the cast and crew to return for a second round. If that happens, ‘Vampires vs. the Bronx 2′ will likely release in 2022 or later.

Vampires vs. the Bronx Sequel Cast: Who Is in It?

The three protagonists of the film, Miguel, Luis, and Bobby are portrayed by Jaden Michael, Gregory Diaz IV, and Gerald W. Jones III, respectively. Miguel’s crush in the film, Rita, is played by Coco Jones. Method Man is cast as Father Jackson. Sarah Gadon plays Vivian, the commander of the vampires. Long-time SNL cast member Chris Redd plays Andre, while The Kid Mero essays the role of Tony, the father-figure to all three boys. The cast also includes Vladimir Caamaño, Shea Whigham, and Adam David Thompson. MCU and ‘Avatar’ actress Zoe Saldana makes a cameo appearance in the opening scenes of the film.

If ‘Vampires vs. the Bronx’ sequel ever goes to production, Gadon, The Kid Mero, Whigham, Thompson, and Saldana will not return as their characters have been killed in the first film. The rest of the cast will probably reprise their respective roles.
