‘Yesterday wo Utatte’ season 1 is scheduled to release on Apr 5, 2020, and since it is expected to have a total of 12 episodes, it will finish airing sometime in June 2020. Season 1 of ‘Yesterday wo Utatte’ is being animated by Doga Kobo Studio which is also known for its work in ‘Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?‘ and ‘Gabriel DropOut‘. Yoshiyuki Fujiwara is directing this season and its production is done by DMM.futureworks. It is based on a manga of the same name written by Kei Toume and its script has been written by Yoshiyuki Fujiwara and Jin Tanaka.

Yesterday wo Utatte Plot

‘Yesterday wo Utatte’ revolves around a young boy named Rikuo Uozumi who takes up a job at a convenience store after college. With a lack of ambition, most of his days just drag by uneventfully and he manages to just get by with whatever he earns. But one day, when he meets his former girlfriend and classmate all because of the unusual Haru Nonaka, his life begins to change for the better.

Rikuo Uozumi

Voiced by Chikahiro Kobayashi, Rikuo is the main character of the series who is a college graduate. Pretty much like everyone else, he has no clue what he wants to do with his life so he just picks up a job at a local convenience store. Apart from whatever he does throughout the day, he also loves clicking pictures.

Haru Nonaka

Voiced by Yume Miyamoto, Haru is weird girl who has a raven as a pet. She works at the MILK HALL.

Shinako Morinome

Shinako is one of Rikou’s classmates from high school. In the present moments, she is working as a high school teacher. Her character has been voiced by Kana Hanazawa.

Rō Hayakawa

Voiced by Natsuki Hanae, Rō is another main character of the series who Rikou’s childhood friend.
