Young Sheldon Season 4 Cast: Who is in it?

Season 4 will see the return of almost all the pivotal cast members. There would be no ‘Young Sheldon’ without Iain Armitage reprising his role as Sheldon. Along with Zoe Perry as Sheldon’s loving and patient mother, Mary Cooper; Lance Barber as George Cooper Sr., Sheldon’s father; and Annie Potts as Meemaw, Sheldon’s grandmother. Raegan Revord essays the character of Missy Cooper, Sheldon’s twin sister, and Montana Jordan as George Cooper Jr., their older brother. Craig T. Nelson will return as Coach Dale (Missy’s baseball coach), who has eyes for Sheldon’s Meemaw.

Jim Parsons will continue to narrate the story of the childhood of his character from the successor series, Sheldon. The cast also includes Matt Hobby as Pastor Jeff, who challenges Sheldon’s atheism, and Wallace Shawn as John Sturgis, Sheldon’s physics professor in college. We will be seeing more of them in season 4, along with some possible new additions.

Young Sheldon Season 4 Plot: What can it be about?

In the final episode of season 3, multiple universities reach out to Sheldon, expressing their interest in having him as a student, including CalTech (California Institute of Technology). But Mary keeps this a secret from Sheldon and his father, which leads to a showdown between the parents. To convince Mary, George helps Sheldon put together a presentation listing the reasons why he should attend CalTech. Eventually, they reach a compromise that Sheldon will finish his undergraduate studies at East Texas Tech, which is closer, and he already attends a weekly class there with Dr. Sturgis.

The filming for season 3 had to be cut short due to the Coronavirus bringing the production to a halt; the fourth season will include whatever was missed out in the third season, and it will pick up from there. Sheldon will graduate from school as the valedictorian from Medford High and prepare to attend East Texas Tech. The storyline will go on to show Sheldon having a breakdown when he realizes that he may not yet be ready to face the challenges of attending college.

We might also get to see Coach Dale trying to rekindle his relationship with Sheldon’s Meemaw. As per Sheldon’s childhood, according to ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ we know that he started attending CalTech at the age of 14. That, and drastic life events connected to his father, take place around the same time. These are a few things that we can look forward to in the fourth season.
